How does the electronic injection system work?


We have developed a dual fuel microcontroller for the injection unit that has exhaust temperature input, detonation sensing, rpm, and boost. The controller will retard gas flow if exhaust temperatures reach a user adjustable threshold. The detonation sensor will also retard gas flow to avoid engine damaging detonation which may accompany use of large amounts of gas. The dual fuel controller interfaces with the engine ECM and uses the provided sensor data to optimize the gas substitution. We also track diesel fuel consumption to simplify cost savings analysis. The screen below displays engine data and calculated fuel consumption.
